State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nemanja Starovic signed the Book of Condolences which was opened at the Turkish Embassy in Belgrade following the death of the former Parliament Speaker and Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Yıldırım Akbulut.

"We received with great sadness the news of the death of Mr. Yıldırım Akbulut, the former Parliament Speaker and Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey.

In the wake of this loss, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and on my own, I wish to extend the expressions of deep condolences to the family of Yıldırım Akbulut, and sincere sympathies with the friendly Turkish people", the State Secretary wrote.
