The Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Dusan Petrović, and a delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture, paid a one-day Official Visit to The Republic of Turkey.
During the Meeting with the Turkish Minister of Agriculture Mehmed Mehdi Eker, the Ministers spoke about various possibilities of developing cooperation in the field of Agriculture between Serbia and Turkey.
After the meeting, Minister Petrović and Minister Eker signed A Memorandum of Understanding in the field of Agriculture between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Turkey.
The Ministers expressed their satisfaction that cooperation between two Ministries has been formalised, which will improve the bilateral relations between the two countries.
After the signing of the Memorandum, an initial meeting of the Joint Committee of the two Ministries was held. This Committee will be in charge of future cooperation in the field of agriculture.
Members of the Serbian Delegation visited the Institute for Meat and Fish and were informed about the Institute's capacities and organisation.
Minister Petrović also laid a wreath at the tomb of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, founder of the modern Turkey.
