SAF CHOD LTG Ljubisa Dikovic is ending his two-day visit to Turkey today during which he talked with his Turkish counterpart General Necdet Özel.
During the talks of the two delegations, both sides agreed that there was still room for promoting bilateral military cooperation, especially in the field of military education-educating officers in command staff and general staff colleges in military schools in Serbia and Turkey, as well as in joint exercises and training sessions.
Both sides expressed their interest in participation in regional initiatives for the purpose of better cooperation and creating conditions for stability, security and prosperity in the region.
The SAF delegation visited the 4th corps of Turkish armed forces, the Military Academy, the PfP Centre and the Anti-Terrorist Training Centre.
During the visit General Dikovic laid a commemorative wreath on the memorial to Mustapha Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the modern Turkish state while the delegation of the Serbian armed forces was received by the Ambassador of Serbia in Ankara Dusan Spasojevic.
