CONCERNING THE CATASTROPHIC FLOODS IN SERBIA

The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Ankara, with deepest regret, informs hereby the esteemed Turkish public about consequences of the catastrophic floods, which took place in our country, the Republic of Serbia, in which people lost lives and enormous material damage was done. Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated and placed in collective accommodation facilities. The accommodation conditions are hard and there is a possibility that different diseases and other medical problems emerge. Crops, houses, roads, schools have been destroyed.
Bearing in mind that we have faced the biggest nature catastrophe in our history, the Embassy wants to call all the people of good will in Turkey, institutions, organizations, to, in accordance with their possibilities, help the population in the Republic of Serbia. Every financial contribution is precious, as well as all the other forms of assistance are precious, such as providing clothes, blankets, hygiene products and other.
