
To go to work in the Republic of Serbia, it is necessary to apply in advance and get a VISA D at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Ankara or the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in Istanbul.
All foreign citizens who want to live and work in Serbia must apply for a VISA D (before leaving for Serbia) which is valid for 180 days within 1 year, and submit an application for regulating their residence and work permit upon arrival in Serbia.
The documents required to apply for a D visa are:

filled visa application form

invitation letter (stamped and signed) by the company you will work for

airline ticket reservation

bank statement of the person applying or the company that guarantees for the person

travel health insurance (for the period from your arrival in Serbia to the regulation of residence permit)

* Visa fee is paid before beginning the visa request process and it is not refundable no matter to the answer on the visa request.
The Immigration Service decides on the application for a visa D within 15 to 21 working days (2-3 weeks).
After obtaining a visa D, all foreign citizens can apply for a residence and work permit immediately upon entering Serbia. All documents for workers and appropriate guarantees must be provided by the company that provides them with employment.
